Jorginho (20)

Postby JohnGooner » Sun Feb 17, 2013 7:20 pm

The 21-year-old, who moved from Italian lower league side Sambonifacese in 2011, has been one of Verona’s key players in the last season and a half and has made 24 league appearances this term.

The Brazil-born winger has been monitored by both Premier League clubs and Ukrainian giants Shakhtar, and could trigger a summer fight for his services.

Although he has over three years left on his contract, he could be available for as a little as £6m. (TalkSport)

You should post the link of the article/source, otherwise GW could get in legal trouble, I believe.

Don't know anything about this player, but then again I doubt there are any Serie B watchers on this forum.

Jorginho in London for Arsenal?
Monday October 14 2013 | By Football Italia staff
http://www.football-italia.net/40581/jo ... on-arsenal

Reports in the Italian Press claim that Jorginho and his representatives have been in London to speak with Arsenal. Several outlets have insisted that the Hellas Verona man has been in contact with the Premier League club. However, FirenzeViola believe that nothing official has come from the meetings, meaning that other clubs have a chance of signing the youngster. Fiorentina have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old and will be lifted by the news that potential Arsenal links have seemingly stalled.

Arsenal ‘hold talks with agent of Napoli midfielder Jorginho’

Arsenal have taken steps to securing the summer arrival of Napoli midfielder Jorginho after meeting with his agent, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has already been linked with the Premier League, with both Liverpool and Chelsea rumoured to be keen on the Brazilian.

But it appears Arsenal have made the first move in a bid to beat their rivals to Jorginho’s signature when the transfer window opens.

The midfielder’s agent Joao Santos is believed to have travelled to London last month when he met with Arsenal officials, despite the player having only joined Napoli from Verona in January.

He has since made eight appearances for Rafael Benitez’s side and has also attracted attention from Tottenham, who are thought to be closely monitoring his situation.

Anyone watched him?

Not even worth talking about this one. If you see Arsenal linked with Porto, Benfica or Napoli players, just move on and dont pay attention

would make sense with arteta and flamini off in the summer we need another centre midfielder and with wengers record of not signing a midfielder over 6ft at 5'11 he should just make it for wengers criteria his like a Gabriel type signing loads of potential not really well known across Europe. can pass with either foot (not at cazorla level) can put in a tackle and at 23/24 his still got his legs to cover ground.. if we could get him and sane that would be decent we haven't signed a young up and coming attacker since the ox and that was in 2011
