SERGE AURIER COMES INTO VIEW FOR ARSENAL

ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger is ready to snap up Toulouse full-back Serge Aurier to replace the unsettled Bacary Sagna.

The Gunners manager sees 20-year-old Aurier, an Ivory Coast international who also has French citizenship, as the solution to the contract impasse with Sagna.

Arsenal have refused to improve their offer of a one-year extension to Sagna’s contract at £60,000 a week.

Sagna’s current deal has 18 months to run, and Arsenal are not prepared to offer improved terms to a player who has had injury problems and turns 30 in a month.

Sagna has indicated he will be looking to leave in the summer, so Wenger has looked to France – his favoured recruitment area – to plan for the future. Talks are advanced with French First Division club Toulouse over Aurier, who is valued at around £5million.

Decent on FIFA. But if AW was going to buy a Ligue 1 FB then there's no reason why he couldn't buy Debuchy.

Why but a mature, experienced player when Wenger can get a young, inexperienced player who will call him daddy instead?

Interesting player, just like his teammates Abdennour, Yedder, Sissoko and Capoue - not a very big fan of M'bengue though, he loses his head way too often from what i've seen.
Now when Debuchy joined Newcastle we should be looking at a new RB [assuming we're not extending Sagna's contract], there is no real hype around him just as yet but I think it's only a matter of time and with hype usually comes a big market value rise.
I'd go for an a bit more proven and experienced RB, we already have a young lad in Jenkinson to fill in the RB spot.

A new LB, DM, WF and ST should be a priority over this though, then we can look at RB, CB etc.

Could be a decent back up for Jenkinson when Sagna leaves.

Toulouse were the only club i've watched a few times last season, mainly before the winter window when Sissoko wasn't sold to Newcastle yet. Good prospect, but bring in another young RB? Would only happen if Wenger has no faith in Jenkinson and Bellerin.

Although i started this thread back in January, with Sagna staying put i can't see this happening.

I wish for no man to jeopardize Cpl. Jenkinson's rise to the right-back throne.
