Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

I agree although I would be happy with any of them

His age is only reason I would consider him over Martinez. He is better than Giroud but not any where near the £30m better that it would cost to get him.

Martinez is said to be £28.5m and he's nearing his 30's , that's like United buying RVP and we know how that worked out. He'd still have to adapt to the BPL as well , could be a soldado-type of signing. Imo Benteke would be better business considering risk.

Doubt Benteke is really the quality we need.

Lol is it going to hurt your bank account

By that logic we should just sign any player no matter what the cost because it's not coming out of my pocket personally.

My point is if the guy will improve us then paying a bit over the odds dosent matter. Bale isn't worth what Madrid paid, but he won two trophies for them. I am not saying do a Andy Carroll of course the player has to be able to benefit us.

I don't think he's an upgrade on Giroud and is far too similar - we don't need another burly target man, we need someone quick and clinical in front of goal. No point in spending £30m on a player who doesn't really improve us and is far too similar to what we've already got.

No thanks.

The only way we get better, is if someone outside of the PL is ready to buy big and a merry go round begins.

Ie real will only sell benzema if they get Aguero.

City will only sell aguero if they get x

Rooney rvp are too old to go to another big club now. Rooney would never leave.

Suarez isn't going anywhere.

Kane could be bought by someone, but who? If man u, rvp leaves but he's done.

No one wants falcao

Cavani? Possibly, but PSG would need a replacement as Ibra hasn't got too long left.

There's not that many top strikers about unless we are talking about young strikers like:

Lacazette
Benteke
Dybala
Morata

But all of those aren't really proven at the top. Doesn't mean they can't become giants, but someone is going to have to take a punt on them.

It's a difficult one.

Benzema/ Lewandowski would be the dream if they became available. Doubt that very much though.

Can't see either leaving. If they did it would be for insane money and to a club that would probably be looking at one of their strikers in return.

I can't see any reason why Lewandowski would go.

Benzema might leave Madrid if they get Aguero. Unlikely though.

City would be in for him straight away. They aren't as dumb as spurs (ozil) or liverpool (sanchez) to not even enquire about his services.

Spurs and Liverpool did try and get Ozil and Alexis though, but they were turned down because they were shit.

Would you care to elaborate?

I just don't think he is very good. Never impressed me once playing for Belgium (a team that actually dominates matches unlike Aston Villa) and he isn't even a bargain either.
