This GBLShorty chap puts forward a very convincing argument.

And I thought I knew football!! It's actually refreshing to see posts like this, well thought out and dripping with options.

Kudos that man.

According to Lord n saviour orny ... No we aren't in for anyone else. Unless Sevilla have realized they ain't getting more than 15 m for him that or Steve has pushed for the move.

From what I understand, N'zonzi is looking to move. And has previously spoken about working with Emery again.

Arsenal have opened talks with Sevilla regarding a possible deal for Steven N'Zonzi, reports Sky Sports .

The France international has been a long-standing target for the Gunners and remains on their radar with Unai Emery now at the helm.

He is currently away on World Cup duty, but could be the latest addition in a summer of much change at Emirates Stadium.

I would say we would guarantee to finish in the top 4 and could maybe challenge for the title with some Luck on our side and our defense stepping up.

Aubameyang - Lacazette
Özil
Ramsey\Mkhi - Nzonzi - Torreira
Kola\Nacho - Chambers/Mavro - Sokratis - Bellerin
Leno

Subs: Martinez - Mustafi - Xhaka - Lucas - Ramsey/Mkhi - Lichsteiner - Welbeck

Best team we would have had in many years.

I trust ornstien more than SS and he's said no more first teamers after torriera.

If nzonzi is true however, he'd be great for us although I'd much rather someone a bit younger with more years in the tank.

I really don't want to be in a position where we are haggling with aging players on wages that stop us from signing prime players just like torriera

I trust orny but sometimes he just says stuff the team feed him so maybe hes saying that to keep the price down?i think a winger and cb is incoming if nzonzi comes then ramsey or elnney goes and if a cb comes then mustafi goes or chambers/holding goes on loan

I dont give a shit about age, I want the player that can do the best job for us immediately. I don't know anything about tje Uruguayan apart from he is not that tall. Nzonzi would bring height, strength, steel and experience of English football.

It's interesting that we have been linked with a move for him since 2012 after he was relegated with Blackburn. That to me say's it had already been identified that we were deficient in the physical strength and power department which lent itself to the caveman philosophy of how to beat Arsenal, perception being we're unable to cope with teams who battle, scrap and toil like Trojans, especially without the ball. Ironic then that he went to Stoke City, the team that epitomised more than most the belief of Arsenal not having the minerals for a fight after a couple of kicks and strong challenges. That we often struggled to deal with Stoke and teams with a similar approach suggests that we openly dismissed the old adage of fighting fire with fire. Nothing wrong with making mistakes, our issue was that we refused to learn from them.

I'm hoping the statement from Emery saying we won't be signing anyone else unless a big opportunity comes up, means we are waiting till after the world cup to strike a deal with N'Zonzi/Sevilla? Otherwise I think he's not coming. Transfers for the summer done I think
