This. I would love doucoure but I don't think I want to know what Watfords asking price would be and I don't know if doucoure is a dm. He can win the ball but he's not a nzonzi.

Is Dacoure not a B2B type?

You cant blame Emery for bringing in experienced players that he has trusted in the past. His job and reputation is on the line and he will not gamble them with a full lineup of young players.

While we carry the attitude that if Emery doesn't work he will be fired or wont be renewed, he is thinking about his career.

I might not agree with his approach this summer but I can certainly understand where he is coming from.

Interesting point. I hadn't thought about this.

To think from Unai's perspective, of course. The board probably want him to finish in the top-4 (or enter the UCL via the Europa League) next season, whilst playing decent football. He won't be sacked if he failed to, as long as we missed out narrowly or there was some sort of progress in their eyes. But he's not Wenger who was immune to everything here.

A man's got to do what a man's got to do.

i swear to all the gods and goddesses that you are a thick bunch... no phucking duh!

anyway.. just wanted to say i love all you wackos. am feeling stnimental on the cusp of my 51 bday. getting long in the tooth. :1990_dancing.gif:

Yeah imo he is but we aren't signing two expensive midfielders in same summer and in long run doucoure maybe one we look back at and say damn should have went for him.

Maybe, I think we would only go in for one (B2B) if Ramsey goes, then we would look at Seri or Dacoure.

Doucoure is the hope.

Nzonzi is what we expect

Not my hope, because we need a DM, not a Ramsey rotation option.

We need more of a Petit than a Vieira.

Having both would make us legitimate. Transition from attack to defense won't have to run through elneny or xhaka lol. Man what a mess

If the rumour on the £35m (release clause) N'Zonzi price is true then goodbye N'Zonzi hello Fellaini.

........ unfortunately.

Lichsteiner = free, Sokratis = £15m, if we have a budget of £70m we still have £55m remaining plus we just got £5m for that Turkish dude from the sell on clause cos he joined Newcastle.

£35m for N'Zonzi

leaves us with £20m to get another centre back or a LW if we are to keep all of our squad depending on how Emery lines us up.

Because I can't see Misinslat approving half our budget on N'Zonzi.

That simple really.

Wouldn't Watford's Dacoure cost similar?

He's a good enforcer in midfield though and Misinslat likes him, look I'd like N'Zonzi I'm just not sure if it gets sanctioned is all I'm saying and 100% of the time out of 90% of the time I'm right.

Dacoure just reminds me of a Vieira type and when he goes on a run he will leave us exposed, think Alex Song.
