Wenger won't sign another CB for a while now, £11.7m is a lot for him and we look to have 3 established CB's. An improvement on them would cost 20-30, maybe even 40 million.

The only proven winner in red and white at this club? Arsene Wenger. Sack the board.

Sergio Ramos puts Man United and Arsenal on ALERT after slamming Real Madrid board

SERGIO RAMOS has risked the the wrath of the Real Madrid hierarchy by admitting he does not back the decision to bring Rafa Benitez to the club.

Real Madrid sacked Carlo Ancelotti last month after finishing the season empty handed.

The Italian had guided Madrid to their tenth European Cup the season before - with a dramatic final win over Atletico - but did finish third in the league.

This term Madrid came second in the league, but lost out in the Champions League semi-final.

But Ramos admits he wished Ancelotti had been given more time.

"I'm not the best placed to decide these things," he said

"Perhaps, in my case, I would not have done this but that is what the club directors are there to do.

"Madrid fans can savour the taste of not only a great person but a great coach who gave us a lot of titles that we didn't win for a long time."

Those comments will alert the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal - who are keen to add star quality to their defences - with the Madrid board not keen on criticism.

In-coming manager Benitez - expected to be announced on Wednesday - is also not one to take kindly to disruption in the dressing room.

While at Chelsea he dropped John Terry and kept him out of the team in favour of David Luiz and Gary Cahill.

Ramos though does admit the former Liverpool boss could be good for the dressing room.

"Obviously we can't comment much until it's made official by the club," he added.

"He's a great coach with a lot of experience in Italy, England, Spain.

"A coach who brings experience is always good for a dressing-room like ours."

Not going to happen but what do you think his fit with Koscielny? Personally I don't like it.

If we want a defender who is good @ scoring from set pieces, then Ramos is the 1 for us...
but if we actually want a really good defender, he isn't :hiding:

not that there's any chance of us signing him though.
just saying...

he plays in fantasy land, he would be a walking red card in any other league in the world.
he is quality, but he gets away with way. too much because he plays for the King.

19 reds last time I checked. Many of which undeserved and wouldn't be given to a Barca player but cos Ramos plays for Real he is punished.
