Torino are keen to make Joe Hart's loan move permanent, amid interest from Arsenal and Liverpool in the 29-year-old Manchester City goalkeeper. (Tuttosport, via Talksport)

Vicious rumours we may go in for Joe Hart to cover Leno/Martinez

Sky Sports “Arsenal are considering a move for Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart, according to The Sun. The Gunners are to assessing Bernd Leno's injury following his collision with Neal Maupay during the 2-1 defeat at Brighton on Saturday.

The German landed awkwardly and headed back to north London on crutches. It means Arsenal will likely be without Leno for the remainder of the campaign and are considering a move for Hart, who could be brought in to compete with Emiliano Martinez.

Hart is set to leave Burnley next week when his contract expires, and will be available on a free transfer.”

I'd take him if he's on a free.

He lives up north though so can't see it.

33 is young for a keeper. Most of them don't reach their peak til 30.

↑ Whilst 33 is still relatively young-ish, Joe Hart appears to have peaked at age 27.

He hasn't had any real good season in 5 years: his stints at Torino/West-Ham weren't a great success and he now plays second fiddle to a superior keeper in Nick Pope.

Having said that, if it turns out Leno's injury is as bad as it looked, we'd be in serious need of another goalkeeper and—given some of the signings we've made in recent times—we could do worse than Hart.

No hard feelings towards Matt Macey, but he's currently not a Premier League level keeper.

He’s definitely not a premier league starter any more, but I’d take him as a back up to Martinez seeing as free transfers and awful loans are the norm for us now

I'd rather get a young keeper than another aging has been. Had enough of that with Cech. Hart doesn't have half the pedigree and wasn't even good enough for Empoli.

Must be a shite source. You can't loan a player who doesn't have a club.
