Let's see:

Plays for ManU? Tick.
A potential ManU reject? Tick.
English? Tick.
Average? Tick.
Not good enough for :arsenal3: ? Tick

Can just see Wenger doing this.

Can see Wenger not buying anyone, which will be 10 times worse.

The only proven winner in red and white at this club? Arsene Wenger. Sack the board.

Evans and Smalling aren't that good but as a 4th choice CB? That wouldn't be bad at all tbh. Also, United are a disjointed shit team so I could see them fitting in better in our team and upping there performances.

To be completely honest, we already have Mert, Kos and Gabriel so one of these guys wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Extra cover is always good.

Not that I think United will sell though, after how the Welbeck deal turned out for them.

No thanks. Our next CB purchase should be an upgrade on everyone we have now, otherwise there's no point really.

Telegraph reporting we're considering a £12M bid for Smalling in the summer.

Top clubs always look for top talent. If Wenger had ambition, he'd be in for a CB that will displace any of Per, Kos, Gabriel. But instead he'll probably sign an unproven player or a washed up defender (Silvestre, Squillaci) to ride the bench.

As a 4th CB, I would definitely take this. Think Wenger can improve this guy. He is very strong and fast.

United will never sell though, especially after how the Welbeck deal turned out.
