It's 1988 boys the managers make the transfers.
If a player doesn't rate the manager or head coach there is no way they will sign for the club and it doesn't matter what the Director of Football does or says to him !
So YES who the manager is holds the key to all transfers.
Ur clueless.
Sure, I'm Clueless LOOOOOOOOL
In Firfi's world:
DOF: I want you to play for my club
Player: But I don't like the manager
DOF: It doesn't matter, he is only the manager, I am the DOF and I promise you - you will love it here. I will give you 20 virgins after the first season
Player: sounds tempting 'n all, but the manager, he seems really backwards, I don't think he will get the best out of me
DOF: Did I mention 30 virgins after the first season ??
Player: 30 now ?!!!! Ok, I sign, where is the new gaffer .................
In everyone else's world who isn't a fuckwit:
DOF: I want you to play for my club
Player: But I don't like the manager
DOF: It doesn't matter, he is only the manager, I am the DOF and I promise you - you will love it here. I will give you 20 virgins after the first season
Player: There is nothing you can tell me that will change my mind, I don't rate the manager, I'm not signing for your club.
You think what players are aware of what managers are doing from other countries or what?
Ur saying it like they're roomates and they don't wanna work together when in fact footballers live in bubles where they have no interaction with any manager outside their own and during games they get to see other managers for few seconds.
They have all hired Agents to make those decisions for them and whats best for them ,because they have vast experience in the area of transfers etc.
If there was no need for agents players would just sign the contract themselves and not use them , but its far from the truth.
Truth is players outlast managers in most cases and it's about what the club is going to sell him on.
Pretty sure this guy Amario Cozier-Duberry got conviced by the manager whos making his Premier League debut in a few months Hurzeler that he will be the best choice for him in the future.

Although he can play on both sides it’s not worth the money/wages for an inferior player.
