That's true, but it could work both ways. Messi could replace Wenger as our de facto manager.

Would refuse as Wenger would make it clear that Welbeck would be the main man up front. Workrate and all that.

He should join to Arsenal.
It would be the toughest job in the world ever, to bring the trophy to us.
He would be forever in the history books as a greatest player that ever played.
If you havent played in England, your career is missing the essential part.

Messi does not intend to sign his renewal until the end of the year. In 2018, he is free.

Manchester clubs are the only one who can afford him. PSG cant get him anymore.

Messi refuses to sign for Arsenal after Wenger only offers him a one-year contract due to his over 30 policy.

We shouldn't be settling for second best.

If we are going to spend all that money, might as well go for Ronaldo.

Deal was done but on checking his birth certificate he was found to be over 30 ... Arsenal did offer a pay-as-you-play deal in case we needed some cover for the EFL Cup ... Wonger the WGM said 'we have to maintain our standards' .... as he signed his new contract extension ....

Playmaker Lionel Messi, 30, is said to be considering his future at Barcelona following the departure of Neymar, 25, and the club's failure to sign the likes of Philippe Coutinho, 25, and Angel Di Maria, 29. (Diario Gol, via Daily Express)

Can it happen? Out of his comfort zone and in to GOAT level?
