Interestingly enough, allegedly, West Ham matched Everton's bid, which does suggest that scouts in England rate him highly. Having said that, Premier Clubs are filthy rich compared to the rest of the continent. It's come to a point where £30m means less to Everton and West Ham than it does to clubs like Barcelona or Inter.

Yes English clubs seem flush with money, Onana is just 20 and very few 20 year olds are ready to make a big impact, there are exceptions of course like Vieira (the first one) but generally they need developing and Everton I would think need ready made players rather than players for the future.
