Allegedly in Portugal, Núñez is often being compared to Cavani. (Similar strengths and weaknesses.)

No chance of getting him after his performances v Liverpool

He'll move clubs for sure. Has his pick of clubs

Players will look at our fan base as part of the decision on whether to join us.
I can’t see any player particularly excited about having to play for Arsenal because unfortunately the noisy and negative fans are anyways loud on social media.
We have a reputation now for a crap fan base.

In having just watched the Liverpool Vs Benfica match in which he put the ball in the back of the net a couple of times regardless of only one not falling foul of marginal off-side decisions to add to his strike in the first leg, my now palpable fear is that blood is now in the water and a school of great white sharks are circling.

If the worst case scenario was to indeed play out, it would appear that the January transfer window not only bitch slapped us with Vlahovic's snub like it was Will Smith or something, it then went and trod on our gonads while wearing a hob nail boot on one foot and high heel stiletto shoe on the other in not having participated in any recruitment at all, now knowing that the £70M earmarked for the Serb would have gotten us Nunez gift wrapped and delivered like a late Christmas present, it's as if the window had a Sicilian vendetta against us.

I've already said my piece regards the fella ticking all the boxes for me so I can only hope is that his experience of the quarter final tie will have whetted his appetite for Premier League football with The Arsenal.

This won’t even come into a players mind.

Main things will be money, ambition, CL football, manager and prestige of club.

Money and prestige are our main assets, however there’s other clubs with much more prestige these days.

If we’re up against one of the other big clubs who win, he won’t come.

It’s looking more and more like we should have made our move early if we wanted to have any chance of signing him.

That's why I stated that the January transfer window may have effectively kicked us in the bollocks in more ways than one. I've not hoped to be proven wrong this badly since a pregnancy test as a then father of three.

Few had heard of him or were even that interested in him until quite recently.
At the moment it's just typical paper talk.
We'll see what happens, but I am sure we will sign a striker this summer and I wouldn't be surprised if it is someone , like Nunes up until recently, that just hasn't had the exposure yet.

January was a big window in so many ways I agree, huge mistake not signing anyone and it could be a double whammy in that we miss out on the CL and also not only find it more difficult to sign in demand players but also just more difficult to sign quality without CL football.
