I'm always amused when young players are dubbed "the new (insert player's name here)" when the original player is barely in his 20s himself!

how much do you know? he plays for real madrid, sometimes tackled well and sometimes like paul scholes, did some good passing but other times would try to hard, think the term for him would be rough diamond at the mo, prob not a holding midfielder out and out

Gago is very good. I watched him some when he was at Boca Juniors and only 18-19 years old. It was obvious he had the talent. It took him awhile to settle in Spain, but he had a great year for Madrid last year. He patterned his game after his hero, Redondo. He's pretty similar to Xabi Alonso, although he hasn't reached that level yet. But he has the ability to be that good.
