To old, but gives us stuff we are lacking, work rate and creativity, but if hes a stop gap to get us back in the Champions League whilst we generate funds to get a player who has more potential then so be it.

Him in a midfield with Torreira behind him and a box to box like Doucoure/Ndombele or even cheap option Nkunku would be tenacious as hell and creating a lot more.

I can't understand the links with other similar players like Quintero or Havertz because they are (from what i know) very much in the Ozil mold...ie lower work rate and poor defensive quality's whilst from what i have seen from this guy (in the world cup only) he never stops running and chasing people down.

He might not have the vision that Ozil has, but he would fit better, having some vision, is better than having none at all like we have currently with Ozil not fitting the Emery pressing style.

I do love watching tenacious South American players.
