Still not convinced he will thrive at Arsenal, get Golovin.

Think we missed the boat on Golovin.

Banega would be good value and shrewd signing.

No point in getting any Argentinian player from the world cup unless we invest in FIFA, VAR and learning how to get away with taking drugs

We can say the same for Lichtsteiner in his last game. But you know, these players just now how to play dirty without getting sent off.

We did a double in 97/98
Featuring seaman Dixon winterburn Wright all 34
And bould 35
Four years later we did another one with keown 35 and bergkamp 33 still involved

Without even bothering to look up any stats I can confidently say that title winning teams usually have a few grannies knocking about in them

Average age of title winners vs average age of the league overall would be interesting to see. I bet the league winners more often than not have a higher than average squad age

Our average age in 97/98 was 28.1 the highest in the league
In 01/02 it was 27
In 03/04 it was 27.2

If you consider what we have in midfield then yeah sure, but thats not saying much.

And he is only going to get worse as the years go by.

This one is dead in the water but watching him for Argey, hes similar to Torreira in a lot of ways, hes a tenacious midfielder with a high work rate, not as good in the tackle but with better playmaking abilitys, having both would be stupid.

Arsenal are interested in signing Ever Banega, according to the Sun.

The midfielder previously worked with manager Unai Emery at Sevilla and has a £18 million ($24m) buy-out clause in his current deal.

Emery sees Banega as a way to boost midfield competition as he looks to mold the Gunners in his first year in charge.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery wants to sign Sevilla's Argentina midfielder Ever Banega, 30, as a replacement for 27-year-old Wales international Aaron Ramsey, who is out of contract in the summer. (Mail)

Would make up for losing Ramsey on a free
