Ever Banega

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Yes, Banega protected Argentina from bullying like no one could.

Did he actually play in the last two world cup games? I did not watch the entire game. All that I know that he is not a starter for them. Anyway, I was referring to 'Diego-Costa-against-soft-defenders' type of bullying, not scoreline bullying. Can't be bullied does not mean can't be beaten. At least he can shut Troy Deeney's mouth up.

Another player who is 29. Don't want. What happens when we end up having 6 first teamers who are 29-32 and all 6 age together and suddenly all 6 of them are 32-35 year olds and all need replacements. Bring in youth.

Just to prove my point. This article is about Lichtsteiner. The refs are afraid of him. And people still confused why didn't he get any card after holding Mitrovic. I want these kind of players in our club. Not all, but 2-3 players will be enough.

Buy new players?

I don't think that's a sustainable model of business long term.

Without even bothering to look up any stats I can confidently say that title winning teams usually have a few grannies knocking about in them

Average age of title winners vs average age of the league overall would be interesting to see. I bet the league winners more often than not have a higher than average squad age

29 is not old though, for some players its practically their prime.

25-33 is usually peak years.

Yes we may not got much on resale but we've been doing that model for years and all its produced is half baked players, I have no problem with us buy or getting hardened veteran's to strengthen this soft arse team.

Wilsh (26) out - Torreira (22) in
Caza (33) out - Banega (29) in

Seems fine.

In the current era of football I’d say most people’s peaks end at 30 tbh

Dat burn out. It's only going to get worse the more games they throw in during the season and in tournaments etc.

It's Spain. Every player is for sale at buyout cost. The stated buyout clause is 20m euros.
