This. No more wingers or "false 9" types. Just a good old fashioned striker who is fast and finishes well. None of this "hold up play" crap either, we need a CF capable of popping up in the right place scoring 15 league goals minimum.
I want someone who can play with their back to goal though. Someone with an aerial threat so when we're forced out wide we can whip crosses in to him and attacks don't just peter out.

Me to like Scamacca, Osimhen, Toney & Abraham

Yep. That'd be my list too. I'd maybe add DCL.

Off course. Why using a false nine when we have number tens like Odegaard and Smith Rowe?

Arsenal and Manchester United are also battling it out to sign Germany winger Serge Gnabry, 26, from Bayern Munich for £40m. The former Gunner is out of contract with Bayern next summer. (Star Sunday)

Gnabry will be at the top of Manchester City's wanted list if they sell England forward Raheem Sterling, 27, this summer. (Sun on Sunday)

Looks like he's not coming here

I don’t think Gnabry was ever coming here, his wages would be too high, he’s been playing at one of the biggest clubs around with CL football every season and probably won’t have a shortage of suitors.

Don’t think it was ever realistic for us to sign him.

I'm not so certain Gnabry will be a major hit back in the PL tbh but just my gut feel. I think he'd still be our best winger instantly but i'd be surprised if he pulled more than 10 goals out.

He'll probs end up at Liverpool or City. Why would he come here?

Let's move on with this pointless thread.

Auba did fine coming from Germany. Gnabry is similarly a proven quality player.

In any case, new transfer performances have less to do with individual skill and more on whether the club have a plan for the player. With Auba, we had a plan. With Pepe, no plan.

BL is more similar to the PL in footballing style than any other league.

This one isn't happening from what I'm reading.

We don't seem to be serious about any Winger targets after all, first Raphina now this.

We need at least one more top tier attacker though, CF or WF but it seems Arteta is happy to stop at just signing Jesus.

Personally I don't that's even near enough, not without adding one more top attacker.

I dont think Arteta is happy to stop but I do think we need to sell to buy now. We have too many players on the fringe. Next step is to open up more spots in the squad to then backfill with proper talent.

Chelsea set to make a move apparently.

Total humiliation for Edu if this happens

Can’t see us signing anymore now it’s totally dried up bar a cheap signing as a back up for Tierney
