Twitter going mad about his response when asked about Arsenal in this interview. Where's @Dejan when you need him?

The interviewer (Hans Kraay Jr.) asks Gakpo he was fazed by the presence of the Arsenal scouts inside the stadium. In his reply, Gakpo mentions that he didn't think about it as he was focussed on winning the game.

Not sure why Twitter is going mad about the most standard of answers. But then again, it's Twitter. :P

Joe Willock or Deli Alli - just a softer version.

Thoughts?

I honestly see Ryan Babel but more mature with far less flair.

Ordinary player who coukd work hard and do a job.

5-10 max a season playing in different winger, emergency 3rd choice striker and midfield positions.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in PSV winger Cody Gapko as they look to further strengthen their squad before the end of the window.

It is believed they may face competition from Manchester United however, and it would not be the first player the two sides have fought over from the Eredivisie this summer

United going in for him according to Sky

I’m never sure about players from the Dutch league. Seems very hit or miss.

Maybe that Declan pubber can give us an insight

Im from the Netherlands as well!

Gakpo aint all that bad, I just think the Premier League is way too soon for him.
Wembley:
Community Shield @6-8-'23 = 1*-1 Manchester City

Emirates Stadium:
First game @10-9-'11 = 1 - 0 Swansea
Most memorable game @24-2-'22 = 2 - 1 Wolves
Last game @14-04-'24 = 0 - 2 Aston Villa
Next game @4-05-'24 = VS Bournemouth [ No ticket yet ]

delayed response due to weeklong ban

he's intriguing i like the way he dribbles and then accelerates away from defenders...
seems to have a decent shot/eye for goal...

decent size too

I feel the same way, occasionally there’s a real top top player that comes from there, but a lot of the players that come over don’t really make much of an impression.

Gapko has good numbers but they’re not exceptional.
