Danilo was one of just two players from the Brasileirão who got called up by Tite for Brazil's latest games.

Apparently, he's already regarded as Brazil's 4th best CM/DM, behind Casemiro, Fabinho, and Bruno. This means that, despite playing in an inferior league, he's already preferred ahead of the likes of Fred, Douglas Luiz, Allan, Wendel, Arthur, Thiago Mendes, etc.

Honestly my favorite test for a player's value is what his fans think of him. Palmeiras fans love this kid and many think he's their best prospect since Jesus so he might be worth it.

No doubting that he possesses good technical ability, but personally, I'd like to see a hell of a lot more footage of his supposed defensive capability.

Confused.com. I don't understand your correlation between this fella who plays as a defensive and central midfielder, my comment regarding more proof of his defensive prowess, and Ozil who played as an attacking midfielder and wide playmaker.

Any discussion regards Danilo even taking place is due entirely to the physical fragility Partey displays like a catwalk model during fashion week, being compounded by injury to Elneny also which now leaves us without a recognised, battle hardened defensive midfielder.

If there was ever a time that made sense to buy this guy its now.

The injuries we have and the comps coming up are all in line for this transfer.

Allegedly, Danilo's release clause is set up at around £86m.

Hes sounds interesting but i think we have almost done what we did last january and left it to last minute and to late to get anyone.

If we are to get somebody i think he is most likley.

In having now exhausted all the YouTube videos of this fella along with the information and assessment that Tim Vickery has offered up, it makes sense to me as to why we made the choice not to commit to buying a defensive midfielder for strong money in light of the injuries to Partey and Elneny.

To me, if we do actually manage to secure his recruitment in January after the world cup, he will at last be the direct replacement for Matteo Guendouzi and as such lend even more weight to the footballing justification for having jettisoned an undoubtedly talented player on the basis of an immature mental attitude regardless of the short to medium term detriment of our team.
