Arsenal can repeat Gabriel Martinelli transfer trick to sign wonderkid dubbed 'new Dani Alves'

Arsenal are in the midst of a hectic summer transfer window as they try to bridge the gap between them and the rest of the so-called big six.

Technical director Edu has already signed left-back Nuno Tavares, centre-back Ben White and midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga from Benfica, Brighton and Anderlecht respectively.

football.london understands that the north London club are also close to signing Norway captain Martin Odegaard for a fee of just over £30million whilst move for Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is still in the works.

football.london revealed back in May that the Gunners were also interested in signing a right-back if Hector Bellerin leaves this summer and this may still be on the cards given The Athletic have now claimed that the Spaniard is 'determined' to leave the Emirates Stadium this month.

Now, Brazilian outlet UOL have claimed that Arsenal are interested in bringing Gremio fullback Vanderson to Arsenal, a move that was also mooted by Globo Esporte back in June.

Vanderson, who is an extremely talented right-back, has previously been compared to Barcelona icon and compatriot Dani Alves given he possesses a rare blend of pace, drive, and technical nous- including the ability to take set-pieces.

The 20-year-old would probably command a hefty fee considering he agreed on a new contract with Gremio earlier this year but considering Edu was able to sign Brazilian starlet Gabriel Martinelli for just £6million then perhaps he could snag a similar deal for Vanderson this summer.
