I said it with Partey, had he been fit we would've had the best CM options in world club football, Rice, Partey and Jorginho.

Merino gives us a good option, midfield pairings for any game and all situations.

He has some PL experience with Newcastle so hopefully he can hit the ground running if the stories are true and he's joining.

If the best our scouting department can do is Mikel Merino we are in trouble.

Good Elneny replacement but we still need a top midfielder signing, preferably u24.

Hopefully saving the pennies here to go all out on an attacker.

You’re right but I still think we should look for a landmark signing to partner with Odegaard and Rice.

Mikel Merino is a good squad player though.

Talking about head and shoulder. Looks like the man is a real aerial threat. Great for Jover ball.

His passing statistics worry me.Rice cannot pass the ball also will be like having Havertz +Rice midfield last season if they have to play together.

???
What are you on about?
Rice can most certainly pass the ball. He's not a player who plays defence splitting passes but he's very secure in possession and passes the ball well both short and long when switching play.
