Raphinha

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Probably the case of a top class player being available and us taking the opportunity.

We don’t have many actual wingers at the club. Saka, Martinelli, Pepe and Nelson. The latter two are likely to leave so we need to bring another in.

Yeah.

Agreed, I'm not getting good vibes from the Saka scenario, have a feeling the likes of Liverpool etc may end up turning his head.

He needs to sign with us, if he tries to run down the clock I'd rather lock down Raphina and sell Saka .......... as much as some AFC fans may not like it, for once we wouldn't be hanging on in desperation and getting screwed in the end.

If Saka doesn't sign, sell and buying Raphina with that money to a 5 year deal is the smart move imo.

.......actually that's a point.

If we can't get Raphina, why would not go in for Gnabry, he's available and isn't he classed as a better player anyway?

Would rather Gnabry tbh but I guess Raph is somewhat proven in this league while Gnabry never got the chance. Maybe Gnabry doesn't want to drop out of the CL either.

Saka is on 30k a week and hasn’t signed so far, agree that Raphinha makes sense is Saka is to move on.

Also agree that Gnabry would be better though.

If he's costing 50m+ I'd rather go all in for Scamacca.

25 man squad

Saka - Jesus - Raphinha
Tielemans - Odegaard
Partey
Lisandro - Gabriel - White - Tomiyasu
Ramsdale

Gabi - Nketiah - Vieira
Lokonga - ESR
Elneny
Tierney - Saliba - Holding - Molina?
Turner

Hein
Nelson
Target man

Thats a very tasty squad, we will still need further window tweaks though, i really hope we pull this Raphina deal off without losing anybody.

With Jesus over the line and likely playing in a wide forward role, I don't think we need Raphinha. Get Tielemans in now and put the savings into the January window.

Lots of tekkers but I'm not convinced he can adjust to going from Leeds' all out attack to the much slower pace of Artetaball.

Arsenal have, according to Sport, pulled out of the race for Leeds winger Raphinha.

With Gabriel Jesus poised to complete his move from Manchester City, the Gunners have ended their interest in another Brazilian forward on the books of a Premier League rival.

Hopefully bs

Rather have him than Jesus ffs

He was never coming here. He isn’t interested in anyone but Barca. The De Jong deal will allow them to get him.

.......Gnabry?

I feel we need one more top player in attack, we can't just sign Jesus and expect all to be fixed.

Either Gnabry or get a CF and play Jesus as a WF.

The player we really need is Raheem Sterling, a winger and England NT veteran that creates and scores.

If we had CL, I'm certain we could have signed him and renewed Saka's deal. As it stands, his signature is Chelsea's to lose.
