Serge Gnabry

Heard any rumours? This is the place to discuss potential transfer targets.

Reiss wrote:yes, I know, but apparently they can't agree a new contract with him (contract expires in 2023). Apparently we are interested.

Quotes from him yesterday:

Serge Gnabry: “Always a Gunner. It [leaving the club] was the hardest decision but in the end, I think it worked out as I wanted to play, but as a club man Arsenal [gestures with his hand held high] top, top.”

He then said:

“There is a project in England that I’m interested in. I’ve spoken to a few people around the club. You’ll know more when I know more.”

Time to bring him home.

To play where, though, Reiss?
Maybe offload Pepe?

Can he play upfront?

I think Arteta would prefer Sterling in that role, he isn't signing a new deal either. I wouldn't disagree, Sterling misses chances but he's PL proven several times over.

I also seriously doubt Gnabry is referring to Arsenal when talking about the project.

He grew up playing centrally and was switched to the wing by Wenger.

Yeah I don't like Pepe at all.

How about:

--------------Martinelli ------------
Gnabry -- Ozegaard -- Saka

Or play Ozegaard deeper next to Partey, and Serge through the middle?

TBH I don't care. This lad is a beast and I just want him back :cloud9:

Looks an impressive front 4 but then where does ESR play? I wouldn’t mind as a replacement to Pepe so we retain some depth and options.
Whatever, it’s going to be an interesting summer, especially if we can do what no-one thought we could and get into the UCL.

He’s a perfect fit for Liverpool, I reckon that’s where he might end up. Quality player though.

Arsenal are also interested in re-signing Germany winger Serge Gnabry from Bayern Munich but are unable to afford the 26-year-old this summer. (Christian Falk)

Love this player, even when he was a kid with us you could see he had a ton of talent, only problem i see really is if its the Sancho effect with him, looks like a world beater in the German pub league and comes back here and looks like Pepe, i don't think this is the case with him but always that risk.

Bayern got quality players around him. If he comes back Arsenal, won't be the beast in Bundesliga.
