Football.london reports that Arsenal are making the addition of another central midfielder a top priority for the summer transfer window.

Leicester star Youri Tielemans figures prominently on their wish list, but highly-rated France international Aurelien Tchouameni – who is currently at Monaco – is another player in the Gunners’ sights.

Arsenal are closing in on a £40m deal for Leicester's Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans but Real Madrid are ready to move for the 25-year-old if the Gunners fail to qualify for the Champions League. (Sun)

Won't be the only transfer that depends on CL qualification.

Get CL and we get quality like Tielemans. Fail and we get players like Lokonga lol

Saw this and thought the same as the guy who tweeted.. WTF?
Literally gives up instead of putting any effort in.

I think they want him either way but he wants us but only if we get CL. If not then that opens the door for real

As mentioned, must be something wrong in the head to want us over real but I'll take it

Would rather Bissouma all day long.

Especially if Elneny isn't staying, we need another enforcer.

In recognising the direction we appear to be heading having witnessed the functionality of a 3 man midfield of Xhaka, Partey and Odegaard for all too brief a glimpse of the full blown transition to a 4-3-3, Tielemans name should indeed be on the V.I.P guest list to join the party.

However, much like a kid on their birthday being taken into a sweet shop and told they can choose whatever it is that they want within reason, I'm struggling to look beyond my preference for Paqueta or Bellingham as the Don Daddy for that left midfield spot, having been transfixed on the pair much like a 14 year year old lad accidentally stumbling across pornhub.

He's been kinda poor this year, but so have LCFC as a whole.

Do we really need him? IMO we need a Partey replacement, and Tielemans is more of an Ode-style player, creative but lightweight.

Ruben Neves seems like the right fit, but we may not be in the running for him.

He does seem to be a very good footballer, in a team with a better standard of player all around him we could see him shine.

If hes been poor this season does that mean we can get him cheaper? Doubt anyone questions his quality overall.

25. Prem experience. Decent price.

We need more quality and depth in midfield.

Solid signing.

Wanted him since he was at Monaco playing against us years back, if it a cheap fee based on his contract of no more than 25M do it, anything more we should go for other targets.
