Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Juventus are reluctant to let Arthur link up with Arsenal on loan.

The Bianconeri are wary of leaving themselves short on midfield options and will only do a deal if a suitable replacement is brought in first

He'll get pressed off the park like Xhaka does every week, panic and resort to silly fouls, if he cant do well at Barca or juve where he has all that freedom to spray balls over the pitch, hes never going to do well in the prem, i hope i'm wrong.

Looks like this one is going to happen so hes got 6 months to impress i suppose and if he dont we got the options of Bruno or Tielemans in the summer

I only watched him when he first joined but I thought he was excellent at possession retention. I just thought he was a bit slow and lacking in vision compared to those around him - not hard at Barca though.

Hes basically Xhaka's skill set in the build of Torreira, i'm sure Arthur is only like 5ft 6 or 5ft 7, hes tiny & slow.

Why not get Torreira back. He was good in the DM role

Arsenal's negotiations with Juventus over a loan deal for midfielder Arthur Melo have stalled because the Serie A club have not yet found a replacement for the 25-year-old Brazilian. (Tuttomercatoweb, via Express)

Me too. He was playing PL football as recently as May. He would slot right in.

Arsenal have received a boost in their hopes of signing Brazil and Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, 25, with the Italian club in negotiations to sign Lyon's 24-year-old Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes as a replacement. (Get French Football via Sun)
