Why would they be? Anybody can look good at Ajax. Haller, Ziyech, Van De Beek.

They all got exposed in the PL.

I couldn’t help myself but I was going to post this. And if you haven’t seen his goal it’s worth googling. Top, top quality as Wenger would say.

Please don’t break my heart, Arsenal

A touch of Dennis Bergkamp about that one. Hope if we do get this done, he doesn't get annoyed with Arteta and fits in well
Invincibility lies in the defence; the possibility of victory in the attack.

Control is not great and he does go to ground very easy instead of holding off defenders.
Hard to judge on footage alone as you dont get a lot of insight on how he brings others into the game and whether he is good at that, but his goal record is very short term and not especially good. Good enough but not amazing.

This is a type of CF that would have cost 5M in the early 2000s, played for a club that challenges for top 10 at best, due to the lack of quality centre forwards these days and inflation its the best of an ok bunch

He’s not even better than someone like Dzeko and he wasn’t even world class, this signing if we do manage it will be very underwhelming

I have big doubts, but if he scores goals like the recent one it certainly starts to dim those doubts.
That control and finish was world class.

I do agree though that we are in an age where players are massively over rated based on PR and media hype.

I'm really surprised at this comment, from games i have seen him in, hes a beast, scores with both feet, hes skillful as hell, not scared to get stuck in like Lacazette, he drops deep into midfield, hes strong as hell, quick, deadly in the air and his finishing is world class, hes perfect for us, world class.

Hes very very similar to Haaland.

Yeah, we rarely play an early pass over the top like that. Miss those.

Apparently he wants to leave in the summer. Fiorentina would sell this month

Arsenal unlikely to get him this month or summer cos we're slow as hell

He doesn’t want to join us. Nothing to do with being slow.

Apparently, he's represented by a dubious agency that demands an enormous signing fee. Read they're looking for €18m, along with 20% of a future sale on top of the €60-70m Fiorentina are asking. It goes without saying this complicates the deal even further.

Honestly, it sounds very difficult and there is a lot of speculation without any solid information.
I'd be surprised if this happens, but you never know.

There is no doubt we need a striker. We are going to really struggle to get 4th without bringing in players for the second half of the season.

He was apologising for his penalty miss earlier apparently.

If I'm being honest unless we're getting the green light from his agents, we should focus elsewhere.

He's not the only striker in the world, there are 3 other possibles out there if not more we could be making offers for.

I'd rather we get someone who actually wants to be here, I'd like this guy but not if he's not committed, it'll cause problems down the road.

His agent apparently wants a big commission, and that would be on top of an already large offer (£50m+) and probably £10m/yr in wages.

If he was that good, wouldn't we have seen him at Euro 2020? He's played 0 games for the Serbian NT

I just don't see how a 21yo on that kind of money and hype is going to do well in the PL. Serie A is a piece of piss, Giroud and Zlatan are still doing well over there.
