It gets me very excited.
It doesn't me really, Partey rarely has a good game and Tielemans is only a little bit better than Xhaka and basically does the same thing, would be much more excited getting in Zakaria and Bruno, with Zakaria benching Partey because hes much better defensively.
I can't believe some of you are writing off Partey so quickly, he's been injured loads and had to make lots of comebacks, yet when he's on form, he's rarely been bested in the Prem.
I've seen him dominate City and Utd's midfield, once he gets an extended run in the team he'll be more than worth it.
Its not quick, its a season and a half, injury prone, everytime he has the ball he trys a rugby conversion/trys to smack it out of the stadium, i only can think off the top of my head a game where he looked very good/like his value, against City, on top of this we paid silly money for him and hes on 200k wages, so i'm not a big fan, if he can find form then sweet, but i cant see it hes not far off 30.
You say rarely bested but he even said himself he rates his premier league form a 4 out of 10.
It reminds me of when we signed Xhaka, everyone said he was going to get good because of his price tag, even 2 years on.
One popular opinion on Xhaka was it was the other players faults and he needed a player like Nainggolan playing alongside him.
