I think I may have commented previously on the GW platform about my affiliation with Celtic FC due to a late friend and colleague of mine originally from Ireland and a certified Bhoys nutter.

In my own ignoring of any churlish, ignorant comments regards the level of Scottish Premiership football being only par with EFL League One or Championship at best, I recommended that we paid the £12M Celtic wanted for Virgil Van Djyk, while Wenger the accountant wouldn't budge beyond £10M and Southampton swooped.

Similarly, when it was established that we were definitely interested in signing Keiran Tierney, the same farmers league jibes and whatnots were being slung around almost in justification of our baulking at the £25M fee that they were demanding. Money thrown down the drain, anyone?

Well, here I am again in recommending that we not just take a look but a punt on a couple of players who we'd most likely be able to purchase for less than the wages we've saved in jettisoning Auba, given one of them cost £4M and the other although only much more recently about £1.5M, in Kyogo Furuhashi and Reo Hatata respectively.

I am not proclaiming them to be Fabregas or Pires reborn, far from it, it's just that in light of all the ground works that has been done in clearing the decks to provide a better environment for our young talent to flourish and be added to with players fitting the profile, they do tick the boxes. In likening them to former players, Kyogo is a goalscoring midfielder similar to Ramsey, whilst Hatata is a little harder to pigeon hole in that he's a bit like Maitland-Niles but across the midfield roles bar DM, and better than him whilst possessing an energy level to make the Duracell Bunny jealous.

If thoughts are that Takehiro Tomiyasu is an overhyped mediocre player not fit to lace Bellerin's boots then please ignore these comments.

Zaha will have a year left on his deal in the summer. If we could get him for £15 - 20m I think that could be a great bit of business on a 3 / 4 year deal.

Guarantees you around 10 goals a season from the wing and would be an upgrade on Pepe imo.

I want peace in our time. Football seems to have paled into insignificance. I feel sick to the stomach. Putin will probably unleash his nuclear warheads on anyone who intereferes.

Wolves today. Don't play at the weekend so by the time our next game comes, we could all be gone

Look on the bright side, at least we can't lose 3 points.

We won't move into top four even with a win tonight, so the answer is clear! :hiding:

No such thing as Arteta out.

There are Arteta in and then there's Arsenal fans.

Arsenal fans will win

But with upcoming doom inevitable, all we can do is take it one game at a time
