Everton and England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 24, will be Arsenal's top target next summer. (Football.London)

Hopefully he will take a step down and see us as a challenge

We'll see what happens in January but we definitely need to be on the search for another striker with Laca going.

Arsenal want Everton and England forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 24, to replace French striker Alexandre Lacazette, 30. (Mirror)

Get fit, stay fit. Get in the form he was in before injury and then bring him home

I rarely see him missing sitters unlike Auba.

That's good, because with his injury record he'll be doing plenty of sitting.

If we can get him now, we have him and laca rotating til the summer. If he's good then sign a back up when laca goes. If he's not good, he becomes our plan b from the bench next season.

I don't think he's the one.

Yes maybe as 2nd choice but I think we need someone with a better profile to play the role of CF.

I don't disagree, just think sign him now and give him six months to prove himself.

Quality striker if he can stay fit.

This seems more like a summer signing

He has been injured this season, he won't make a difference in half a season at a new team. Also, Everton just sold Digne and are in a relegation fight, no way will they sell DCL now.

I thought they had money since Usmanov joined?

They’ll never sell him, he’s a goal scorer and they need him for their relegation fight, they’d be mad to sell him, if you have a goal scorer you don’t sell him in January, particularly if you’re in a relegation battle.

Plus Everton have plenty of money.
