An Interview With.......... Arseman

Postby SE13 » Mon Jun 30, 2008 5:48 am

Name: Hassan Yaqub

Age: Going on 25

Location: Qatar, in the Arabian Gulf. (I'm originally from Bangladesh, and was born in Egypt)

Marital status: Single :sneaky2:

How tall are you: Around 5'10"

Why do you support Arsenal: I got into football around 1998 when the World cup qualifiers were being played and I instantly wanted the most successful team, Man Utd to have their butts kicked. Arsenal duly obliged and I've been hooked since. At the time I thought it would just be a short term obsession but how wrong I've been.

Favourite all time player: Dennis Bergkamp :cloud9:

Favourite holiday destination: Anywhere along the Mediterranean

Favourite food: Chicken chilli with yoghurt..

Favourite drink: Any soft drink (Yes, I'm non-alcoholic  )

Where would you most like to live: Istanbul, Alexandria or Granada

What would you give up to be a season ticket holder at Arsenal: Tough one this, I'll let other members suggest stuff, to which I'll answer yes or no.

If you could have any career, what would it be: Football correspondent for the Guardian, imagine being paid to watch football games, and muck around with the football weekly podcast crew :D

If you could own any car, what would it be: Maybe a BMW, I'm hardly into cars anyway and would probably be happy with a second hand model from the 90s. :?

If you won the lottery, what would you do: Get me an HD Home entertainment system, a shiny top of the range i-mac, and above all, travel like mad

With thanks to arseman for taking the time to do this, the thread is now open to others to ask anything within reason.......

Has your area been affected by the war at all? Or have you seen any migration into your area from refugees?

If you saw me naked would you

A. smile and wink

B. Run away screaming and start clawing at your eyes.

C. Break into hysterical laughter at my comically shaped penis.

The Americans have their military base here in the middle of the desert but to be honest, we haven't been affected by their presence. No refugees either which if probvably because we don't border Iraq.

What song would you sing at karaoke?

What would you do if you were invisible for a day?

What's your profession?

What is your favourite Qatar tradition?

If you saw a box with a big question mark on it in the middle of the road and there was noone around would you open it?

Do you remember Qatar being the worst team on the game in the original FIFA (1994)?

Would you accept an Arsenal season ticket and free flights would you take it if it meant you had to wear a Spurs kit to every match? (You cannot cover up)

Burning of incense during night prayers in Ramadan, I guess....this country isn't too rich when it comes to traditions, mind, they"re too busy competing with Dubai in terms of glamour

Reverend Gooner wrote:Do you remember Qatar being the worst team on the game in the original FIFA (1994)?

Um no....I don't think I had touched a computer or a video game back then
