Unbelievable scenes in the Bundesliga game between Mainz and Freiburg this evening. Mainz are awarded a penalty courtesy of a VAR decision on handball. Only problem was that the half-time whistle had already gone and most of the players were back in the changing room. They are called back out on to the pitch and Pablo de Blasis, after waiting for the Freiburg keeper to arrive, scored from the spot.

To make it even more interesting, both teams are battling against relegation and that goal could take Mainz out of the bottom three and above Freiburg.

Wtf

Yh was watching it on BT, was nuts. Police were on the pitch for 10 mins and it looked like they were gonna finish the game on a 5 aside size pitch in the middle.

Hamburg finally gone thank god, shit club f**k off.

With the relegation of HSV, all clubs who started the Bundesliga back in 1963 have been relegated at some point.

Table doesn't show how close Dortmund were to slipping out of the CL completely from a comfortable 3rd pos before today.

Leverkusen 3-0 up, had a pen, made a sub to bring Kiessling on to take it and in doing so the ref goes to VAR and overturns the pen. Would've put them 4-0 up with 15 mins to go and 1 goal away (either for Hoffenheim or Leverkusen) from Dortmund being 5th :P

After that they ended up letting Hannover get 2 late goals lol
