That's some unbelievable high standard tbh, thought he did good today. Was one he parried I thought he should've caught (leno syndrome) but otherwise good.

Decent performance today, I for one would like to see him get a run of games to gain confidence. Imo he could be better than Leno

No worries about him. He has PL experience, and after yesterday has probably shed any illusions he had about our defensive solidity.

It's what we need. A keeper with PL experience.

Great insight into what a communicative commanding keeper does.

I hope he keeps his place, not much to do today but no dodgy moments and assured distribution, can’t fault him for the pen even going the right way I doubt any keeper would save that.

Also nice little pre assist at the end lol

Arsenal are in "advanced talks" regarding a permanent deal for Mat Ryan, claims Football Insider.

The Australian goalkeeper completed a loan switch to Emirates Stadium from Brighton during the winter window but could now be offered the chance to stay on in north London.

Decent back up. Probably not expensive. Get it done.

Apparently the deal’s been cancelled after Arsenal pulled out of the super league and can no longer afford his wages.

Last year after the Leno-Maupay saga resulted in the German being injured for the rest of the season, Emi Martinez got presented with the opportunity he had waited 10 years for and duly grabbed it with both hands, secured it with his belt and lashed down further with a pair of braces and the laces from his shoes, trainers and football boots.

A year on and whilst the affable Argentine has proven his worth and drawn many accolades, our number one is now displaying the effects of PTSD so once again the need of a keeper to take advantage by showing that he has what it takes to bring us in on final approach to the end of the campaign having salvaged something from this disaster movie of a season, whilst Leno merely clarifies he is not of the same ilk as Lehman.

A big challenge that was meet in triumph by the Argentina number 1 last year. An even bigger challenge awaits the Aussie number 1 this year with hope that the outcome is similarly familiar and triumphant whilst seemingly against the odds.
