I know he is not statistically the greatest of all time by any means but if I could have any skillset of any player ever I would choose him. I would sooner watch him play in his prime than Messi or Ronaldo any day of the week

Maradona, Ronaldo, C. Ronaldo, Messi, Zidane, and Cruyff are in a league of their own.

Everyone else falls in tiers below.

Maybe 'Dinho has a case for being there too but off the top of my head those are the only players I'd consider on his level.

This is Beckenbauer, Di Stefano, and Puskas erasure.

He played with or against 6 players that played for arsenal
Some at international level some at club
A goalkeeper
A full back
A midfielder
And 3 forwards
Between 1980-1994
Can anyone name them?

Ronaldinho isn't anywhere near those levels.

There's a cristiano tier and then everyone else falls below.

Neither Messi or Ronaldo were in Maradona's class.
Maradona played in an era of brutal football and crappy pitches. His control of the ball at pace and his strength to withstand the tackles he had to endure are simply amazing.
Othe players of that era were also better than the like of Messi and Ronaldo IMO, players like Zico.
