If I had to bet, I'd put money on a top 10 European league ending the pro/rel system before we ever implement it.

I know not many here care, but supposedly my city (St. Louis) is getting the next expansion team, which will start play in 2022. Apparently going to be announced next week officially.

I'll be getting season tickets for sure.

The MLS is really growing. Miami and Nashville next year. Austin in 2021. St. Louis in 2022. Might be Sacramento and (Charlotte or the Research Triangle) next. I really hope the league stops at 32 teams though. It's getting bloated and promotion/relegation isn't going to be a thing here.

I agree, it probably should stop after St. Louis tbh. I know that's easy for me to say now since we (most likely) have a team, but I'm afraid the league will get watered down too much with too many teams.

Announced officially today. The last of the stadium plans are being put together now. I guess the next announcement is the name and our colors and badge.

Meanwhile in Miami where David Beckham is starting his team. It was announced that the site where they plan to build their stadium has unsafe levels of Arsenic. :lol:

Miami is going to be underwater in about 15 to 20 years anyway, so horrible place for a team. Ha!

So far I've heard rumblings about the St. Louis Archers, or Spirits. Not too fond of those, I was just hoping for FC St. Louis or St. Louis FC, although we already have a lower league team called St. Louis FC, so we'll see. I expect the announcement within a couple of months.

The stadium drawings look good. They're planning a 22,500 seat stadium that could go up to 25,000, and I'm hearing the seats should be real close to the pitch. All in the heart of downtown St. Louis, not far from where our hockey team plays. I imagine many of the pub owners and business owners around there are excited for the potential extra revenue that will be coming there way. Should be really good for the city. St. Louis has long been considered the soccer/football capital of the US. We just never got a good team of owners/investors together to be able to get a team until now.
