also didnt realise the reason they have spanish in their name is cos 60% of people in miami speak spanish apparently

Marketing franchise tactics 101. Spanish name with an Italian shorthand and an English legend owning it.

Though why pink and black, who do they think they are Bret Hitman Hart and what does it have to do with Beckham's career?

Neon pink and blue are the unofficial colors of Miami, probably why they used pink.

Think it represents their vibrant night life and mix of cultures, Caribbean, Latin etc.

Still can't believe they haven't put a team in St. Louis. Miami doesn't usually support their teams very well. Maybe this will be different.

Currently watching this game on Sky.

Scenes when this went in. Toronto fans were up applauding.

Cannot stand the c*** but fair play.

He's quite possibly the only elite level striker ever with audacity as well as the skill to consistently (and successfully) utelise 9th grade Taekwondo in his finishing.

A truly a wondrous goal - we might not see anything like this ever again after he retires.

He'd be the best forward if it weren't for Messi and Ron these past 10 years.

The guy scored about 12 CL knockout goals when he’s in the top 10 all time CL appearances and you’re making that claim

Nah

Uniquely gifted player but was never top 3 best in his position imo

https://www.dirtysouthsoccer.com/2018/9 ... quakes-4-3

What we all wanted to happen with VAR has happened

Incident happens in one penalty area, nothing given, other side attacks and scores, game is stopped for the ref to look at VAR and penalty is given for original incident so the goal is ruled out and a penalty given

Wasn't far off Ronaldo as a teen shame he didn't have the same discipline, best English player in my lifetime f***ked it up even though he did have an outstanding career.
