Michel Platini arrested by French anti-corruption police

Postby Phil71 » Tue Jun 18, 2019 9:29 am

He's being questioned in relation to the award of the World Cup to Qatar.

I hope he gets banged up, the slimy little toe rag - and they remove it from Qatar.

London could even probably handle it at a moments notice

We are literally the best equipped to host a World Cup

(Bar the obscene cost of trains to other cities)

World cup rules require the matches to be spread around the country. The rules certainly used to be that only only one city can have more then one stadium in use... namely two but no more

This means you could only use Wembley plus one from The Grove, The Shithole, or the London Stadium. This also means Twickenham and Stamford Bridge would be unusable

Because only one city can use more than one stadium you also lose the Etihad and Goodison Park

Even with this disadvantage ruling out several top stadia, England is still the best country to step in because of so many good stadia specifically set up for football and spead round the country

USA more likely to get it because you were one of the candidates beaten by Qatar

USA already has 2026, so no.

But Qatar will pour some more billions to ensure that more slave-laborers die.

But didn't we already get one after that? I think they awarded one of them to North America, meaning, us, Canada, and Mexico. Or was that just talk?

Ah yes

One of the other beaten candidates then

But I do honestly feel that England deserves one and has been unfairly frozen out by Fifa.

I agree! England just seems so obvious, because there isn't even a question about if you can support it or not. You're probably better suited than anyone else in the world. But maybe that's the problem, your too obvious of a choice and FIFA feels like they have to make some kind of great diversity decision by giving it to some kind of 3rd world country. IDK, they make weird choices sometimes, I guess it's about the money. Who knows!
