My thought process when we got him: He played at Juventus THIS GUY can defend. f**k yeah a right back who can ACTUALLY defenddd? Nice!

After 2 minutes on the pitch: O God No
Wembley:
Community Shield @6-8-'23 = 1*-1 Manchester City

Emirates Stadium:
First game @10-9-'11 = 1 - 0 Swansea
Most memorable game @24-2-'22 = 2 - 1 Wolves
Last game @09-03-'24 = 2 - 1 Brentford
Next game @03-04-'24 = VS Luton [ Block 121 - Seat 847 ]

Shocking that Unai was in favour of keeping this guy. Got talked out of it by Raul.

I thought the experience and leadership qualities of Sokratis and Lichsteiner would help transform our defence.

It really hasn't worked out. We're in bad shape.

I always had reservations about lichtensteiner and his pace/stamina for that role and it came to pass.

So glad hes been moved on because he was a milstone around our neck as soon as he was up against anyone with a touch of pace.

Same as monreal tbh.

The time for this sort of player has passed, the age of team press and super fit pacey a physically strong fullbacks arrived a while ago and we never got the memo.

Tierney is a move in the right direction but we really need some academy graduates to step up and start coming through in that mold too.
