I'll start.

Kylian Mbappe is the next Fernando Torres. Once those legs are gone, he won't be half the player he is today. I do think he will win the Ballon d'Or once like Kaka but will peter out eventually - again like Kaka.

Hmmm... Controversial one to start with.

Not sure about that. I think he'll get better.

Overmars was better than Pires

Hleb? Meh

George Graham did nothing wrong financially except getting caught

World football needs a transfer and/or salary cap.

It's imperative so that we can keep teams like City and PSG on a leash and bring more parity to world football.

Guardiola getting sacked at the latest after the 2019/2020 season cause he can't fulfill his mission to win the CL with City while having nearly unlimited resources.

Pep will only get sacked if he fails to finish in the top-4 for two seasons in a row.

Agree regarding Graham.

I think Dein wanted to get rid of him and used it as an excuse.

Pal Lydersen though! His shitness gave the game away I think.

The Invincibles are overrated.

12 draws and bottled every other competition.

(They are legendary, I just don't think they are as great as some Gooners make them out to be)

Personally think our 2001/02 side was better, it was essentially the same except Pires and Ljungberg were at their absolute best, Bergkamp and Wiltord were more influential, and Adams and Keown could still put a shift in.

A stronger squad overall and a more balanced contribution rather than just Henry and Pires scoring all the goals as was the case in 2003/04.

Goals came from all over the pitch in '02 - we scored in every league game which is an incredible feat.

Have to agree with that.

It sounds a ridiculous statement but on the other hand if RVN places a penalty an inch lower they wouldn't really be remberered.

I think overrated is wrong though, we have to bare in mind they went 49 games unbeaten, of course any team would have to have a bit of luck to do that.

I simply think the squad was just a little bit small to last the distance accross all comps

We're called invincible based on what we did in the league so other competitions don't come in to it. However it's a shame after we walked the league and won it on April 25, we got too cautious and played not to lost than to win as we had done all season.

Saying that, give me an undefeated season over 100 points and losses every time

The Invincible season disrespect is amazing in this thread.

The FA had to actually intervene in our final game and ensure that man u won so that we didn't hit an iconic 50 games. They literally had to fix that match in order to stop the run.

If that doesn't demonstrate the magnitude of that run i don't know what does.

You man are seriously saying all this? Have a word with yourselves. We achieved the impossible on these shores then carried it in to the next season for long enough for the FA and fergie to be genuinely scared about a back to back invincible season.
