Alexis Sanchez is Arsenal's most impactful player of the Emirates era. He might not be as good as prime van Persie, but he gave his all for Arsenal and is the reason why we won our last two FA Cups.

I can't get on board with that, chief. Were you in a coma from August 2011-May 2012?

Put the RVP of December 2010-May 2012 in the 2014-17 teams instead of Sanchez, and we likely still win 2 FA Cups, but we also win the 2015-16 PL, advance past Monaco into the QFs, and never fall out of the top 4.

Sanchez did a lot for us during his time here, but RVP put Arsenal on his back during the 2011-12 season.

Zizou is a better head coach than Wenger ever was.

Gareth Bale isn't and was never good enough for Real Madrid, massively overrated.

Tiki-taka is shit.

Don't care what teams won what with it.

The aesthetic equivalent of AIDs.

Arshavin was as good as van Persie and Cesc until 2011 but Wenger never could utilize him properly - and Wenger's inability to use a prototype Wenger player was one of the first signs that he was losing his touch.

Except we didn't win anything that season. Individually, sure, it's the greatest season by a Gunner in the Prem era - Highbury days included. But van Persie never inspired us to win a trophy as Alexis did, especially in 16/17 when the man scored against both City and Chelsea in the SF and the Final to help us win the FA Cup.

I'm not talking about a hypothetical scenario where a prime van Persie would have won us the title in 15/16. Well, duh. Of course. Any striker who wouldn't go in the longest goal drought in the history of world football would most likely have helped us clinched the title that season, especially with Ozil on fire - challenging Henry's assists tally and creating the most chances by an individual player in a single season since these stats were recorded. Insane that Wenger persisted with Giroud, or didn't buy someone who could help lessen the goal scoring load the summer before or in Jan that season. Ozil was on fire that season. :(

van Persie in 11/12 was Godly. While Alexis was never that Godly, he helped us win tangible trophies - a feat van Persie had failed to do with far superior sides, Arsenal of 2007 until 2011. That lot - van Persie, Adebayor, Arshavin, Hleb, Flamini, Cesc, and Nasri - failed to win anything for Arsenal during that period. Can't even blame Wenger until 2010. Jesus Christ. Bottlers.

P.S. Wouldn't include Arshavin though. Man was criminally mis-utilized by Wenger. That brings me to.. Go back up!

Vieira could be sloppy at times and wasn't as good as keane, lampard, Gerrard and scholes

Vieira is the best CM of his generation besides Zidane.

There has never been a midfielder with his combination of technique, size, grit, athleticism and intelligence.

P.S.

Cesc at his best was better than every CM in Prem history besides Vieira and Keane.

When he's done winning the lot, Guardiola will be the greatest manager of all time.

Unpopular opinion that will soon be a fact thinking about it.
