In terms of consistency no other striker in PL history comes close to Henry.

He was here for 8 seasons and won 4 Golden Boots, 50% Golden Boot ratio is absurd.

In what regards is Shearer more consistent?

He played double the seasons and got 3 Golden Boots to Henry's 4.

Henry's goal per minute ratio is also far superior, Shearer is not even in the top 10.

Of course he has more goals because he played twice the amount of seasons as Henry.

The only thing he has over Henry is goals in a season, everything else is down to the amount of games he played.

Btw it took Shearer 7 seasons to score over 20 goals in a league Season, it took Henry 3.

Shearer also had multiple seasons where he failed to hit double digits in a league season, Henry never did.

All the stats you posted prove Henry was more consistent, don't even know why you tried to make this argument.

Henry could also do far more as a footballer overall, as Sims mentioned earlier he has the assist record in PL history and he's a striker.

If you're solely going by statistics as barometer to measure who was the more consistent player, then at least be more thorough and add assists to the equation.

Shearer - 734 games 379 goals

So Shearer was somehow less consistent even though he scored more goals in less games? and he did it for more EPL seasons as well .... hmmmm

How about if you want to compare EPL players over goals per games played -

Henry - A goal every .68 games

So two players score more often but they are less consistent? go figure?

Xavi is as good as zidane

Not unpopular with me. Zidane is a tad overrated because of his two unreal performances in the WC and UCL finals. Then, there's the Brazil game in 2006 that he bossed.

Zidane is one of greatest big game players in football history. But he wasn't as consistent as Xavi. Xavi is the greatest CM I've watched. Man dictated the game like no one I've ever seen.

But it's comparing apples and oranges really. Zidane was a CAM and Xavi a CM/DLP.

Zidane and Iniesta would be a more apt comparison and I'd say Iniesta > Zidane.
