This is another good thing about the Nations League. It puts similar teams together for competitive matches. That just didn't happen before. For teams like Gibraltar, Lichtenstein, San Marino etc. all of their competitive matches were against teams ranked way higher than them, as the group seedings determined.

Now all of these sides have a chance to play and win matches on much more even terms. That can only lead to their progressing.
