Even now there are still 11 senior players injured. (Pellegri, Subasic, Glik, Golovin, Jovetic, etc).

Ignore that tho, he's fuckin wank!! I mean Tielemans thinks otherwise and has now been coached by him at 2 teams but hey let's ignore that as well.

Monaco lose to PSG last weekend even if Fergie was manager, they're in the dumps and killed by injuries with a manager trying to find his feet in the game.

The only proper shit result so far was the Brugge one, no hiding from that game, really not sure what happened. Looks bad for him so far but hopefully gets the time to sort it out.

The Athletic

Patrick Vieira interviewed for Bournemouth job, along with Terry and Wagner

Patrick Vieira is being interviewed for the vacant Bournemouth manager's job, reports David Ornstein.

The Athletic understands the former Arsenal midfielder will be one of the candidates interviewed over Zoom over the next two days.

David Wagner, who is also thought to be heavily in the mix, and John Terry are also among a number of options being interviewed for the position.

Are any other names mooted as options?

As reported in Monday's column, Frank Lampard, who was recently removed from the Chelsea dugout, is not looking to take on a new challenge just yet.

Somebody rated highly among the Dorset side’s hierarchy is Scott Parker, but there is no suggestion his position is under threat at Fulham and that makes him an unrealistic target.

What experience does Vieira have as a manager?

Vieira’s first job in management at New York City FC was very successful, with the Frenchman leading the club to their first-ever appearance in the MLS Cup playoffs in his first season with a fourth-place finish.

They improved upon this in his second season, finishing second before Vieira departed for Nice in June 2018.

Vieira’s Nice finished seventh in his first season, one better than the side had achieved the season before. They improved upon that last season too, with a fifth-place finish securing them Europa League football for the 2020-21 campaign.

This season, however, results dried up for Vieira, with only six wins from their first 16 games leaving Nice 11th in the Ligue 1 table and out of the Europa League with a game to play. The club were on a five-game losing streak when they sacked Vieira in December.

What has Wagner achieved?

Wagner’s first managerial role was with Borussia Dortmund’s second team, where he spent four years before leaving for Huddersfield Town in November 2015. They finished 19th in the Championship at the end of the 2015-16 season.

In Wagner’s first full season in charge in West Yorkshire, he was promoted to the Premier League via the playoffs.

Huddersfield remained in the Premier League for a season, but Wagner was sacked with the club bottom of the table in January 2019.

He took over at Schalke in October 2019, but was sacked a year later following an 18-game winless run.
How much coaching experience does Terry have?

After calling time on his playing career on October 2018, Terry was appointed assistant head coach of Aston Villa days later.

Working under head coach Dean Smith, Terry helped oversee Villa's return to the Premier League during his first season at the club. The club are currently ninth in the Premier league and also reached the final of the EFL Cup in the 2019-20 campaign.

Why was Jason Tindall sacked?

Bournemouth and Tindall departed following a fourth straight loss, with the club on a run of one win in their last eight games.

In a rare public statement, club owner Maxim Demin said in the summer that his immediate ambition was to return the club to the Premier League after last year's relegation.

Bournemouth decided to make a change with the side sixth in the Championship and only just inside the play-off places.

I think JT will get it unless he opts to stay w Villa. Bmouth are 8 points away from 3rd and Terry has experience helping a team get promoted.

Wagner s record is terrible.

It's a great opportunity for him, if true, albeit Palace is a tough job with the rebuilding they need. I hope he succeeds if he does become their manager.

Congrats to Vieira, will be interesting to see how he does in the PL. Palace don't have any star players or much of a budget.

Welcome back to the PL!

Crystal Palace have appointed Patrick Vieira to succeed Roy Hodgson as the Premier League club's manager.

The former Arsenal captain emerged as Palace's preferred candidate after a lengthy process since Hodgson announced he was leaving the club on 18 May.

The 45-year-old Frenchman has signed a three-year contract with the Eagles, who finished 14th last season.

"I am really excited to have this opportunity to return to the Premier League," said Vieira.

"It is a project that is really appealing to me, having spoken a lot with the chairman [Steve Parish] and sporting director [Dougie Freedman] about their ambition and plans for the whole club, including the academy.

It'll be a tough job.

They have so many out of contract. Zaha wants out. An aging squad
