Yeah, I appreciate the candor but it's also kind of malpractice to tip your hand like that

Talks of him going on loan so we can get his wages off the books.

Are we really going to give away yet another player lol.

Anyone confident the club borrowing the player will be paying 100% of his wages ? I'm not !

Reports of a £5m deal with Galatasaray.

After we bulked at £7.5m from Florencetina lool.

Edu is a complete disaster when it comes to transfers.

Turns down £10m for Leno then accepts £8m two weeks later :rofll:

I don't disagree with you, we suck at selling players. These two in particular had very few options though.

Leno refused to move outside London for his family, which on one hand is understandable but OTOH limits our options considerably. It was either take Fulham's offer or lose him for free next season.

Torreira is unwanted because of his inflexibility. He's only willing to play in certain countries and is a pretty limited player for a manager to use. Galatasaray is the only tangible bid Arsenal received for a player that was genuinely good in Serie A last season. Tells you all you need to know.

The £10m offer for Leno was fro Fulham. Now we're accepting £8m two weeks later ... ?!?

Florencetina tried to negotiate down from £10m to £7.5m and we told them to piss off. 1 month later we're reportedly doing a deal for £5m lol.

Arsenal wanted more than 10m for Leno but Bernd went to the team and asked them to make it work. Fulham came back with a lower offer, as any club with leverage would do, and Arsenal were effectively handcuffed. Either sell for 8m or don't sell at all.

I would have taken whatever money Fiorentina offered for Torreira but Arsenal thought there'd be a bigger market for a player that was legitimately good in Serie A last season. No one else wanted the headache though. Such is life.

That Fabio pubber and Ornstein said Fulham offered us £7 + £3m for Leno and we turned it down. We wanted £15m.

Now 2 weeks later we've accepted £8m.

We turn down £7.5m from Florencetina and now have accepted a £5m deal for him.

It's horror negotiating. No other way to describe it.

Edu the type of guy to sell a £20 note for £10

Weird flex by him

Imagine going to Galatasaray in Turkey rather than play in the PL. If he had a brain cell he'd stick it out. He'd probs break his way into the first team especially if Partey is gonna be AWOL.

Fixed that for you.

He was on loan the past 2 years and obviously isn't rated. What makes you think the manager was going to start giving him minutes now?
