The 35-year-old told The Sun that

The Daily Mail, as reported by The Sun. Name a more iconic duo

However, Emery's insistence that he not introduce Ms Wright to friends and family caused a strain on the relationship, leading to the 35-year-old ending the relationship.

'I trusted Unai and really believed we would get married and have kids together one day,' she added.

LMAO, you don't turn a ho into a housewife. Unai's pimp game on point.

This explains a lot.

Earlier today, La Liga side Villarreal announced former Arsenal boss Unai Emery as the club's new manager.

Reacting to that appointment, Mikel Arteta, who replaced Emery at Emirates Stadium in December, said: "First of all congratulations for the new job. He's going back to Spain, he's a manager that has a lot of experience in there and has been very successful there.

"We wish him all the best from our side, there are a lot of people who like him a lot and have huge respect for him. Thanks from my side for what he did here with the players and trying to improve the team and the squad.

"We wish him all the best from our side and hopefully things will go well for him."

Well said

Nothing against emery. Worked a minor miracle in one full season he was here and came so close to legend status. Wasn't to be. No ill will towards him

Hope to face Villarreal in Europe next season

Sure he'll do better over there, it's more his level of club where he can actually speak the language and get them moving up the table. Less pressure as well since they're used to bouncing around the table a bit.

Glad he's got another decent job and good luck to him but also glad he's far away from here. Works out better for everyone.

I really don't think the language barrier had much to do with it. He had several players fluent in Spanish; Bellerin, Monreal, Auba, Mustafi and Torreira to name a few. The run to the EL final wasn't a fluke, nor was beating the shit out of peak Spurs at the Emirates.

Simply put, he lost control once we got rid of half the starting XI including all previous team captains like Ramsey, Cech, Kos and Monreal.

I do agree that he'll be more comfortable back in La Liga.

He got on with all of the managers. He had a particular affection for Tuchel and Ancelotti, he got on well with Blanc. Unai Emery was something else – PSG lost two years when they signed him. His problem was he struggled to manage the stars. At PSG, the players took matters in their own hands to solve the penalty situation between Neymar and Cavani. When he went to Arsenal, the first player who he had a bust up with was Özil… He is a good coach for the Europa League, but not the Champions’ League. It was too much for him.

Thiago Silva’s agent Tonietto on Unai.

I don't disagree that Emery is an EL-level manager. Don't know why PSG hired him; if they can't win the CL with Neymar, Cavani, Mbappe and di Maria, they certainly weren't going to with Emery.

As for not being able to manage big players, idk about that. He got the domestic treble with 93 points in 17/18; best Tuchel has managed is 91.

Cavani had the Golden Boot both years. Aubameyang had the Golden Boot in 2019 and was the fastest player to 50 PL goals.

Emery wasn't brought in to be the Ozil whisperer, he was hired to win the Europa League. He couldn't, and now he's gone. You need to move on.
