Real Madrid will look to sell Spain midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer, but Arsenal won't pursue a permanent deal for the 24-year-old. (90min)

Wasted 2 years of his career and we wasted our time.

Ineptness from both sides.

After 2 years, we have no intention of getting him.

Yeah 2 loans, seems we’re trying to do the same with Odergaard now.

The people at this club are clueless, you can’t build a team around loan signings, hopefully Real turn us down, he’s been a disappointment as expected.

Should have given that game time to one of youngsters instead.

He got worse with more game time. Only played so much because Partey was crocked for most of the season and we sent our other two CMs on loan.

We needed a CM because this club wouldn't buy themselves one.

So I thank him for his service, but time is definitely up.

So we paid to develop a player, we gave him 2 years EPL experience just so RM can profit? how does that make sense?

Develop ........... really?

Anyway, what doesn't make sense? we got him on loan because otherwise we would of been short in midfield.

I don't see how that needs explaining? again, I don't see how Real would be excited about what he's done here, pretty average, if anything he's got worse after an initial improvement.

Please explain what Arsenal got out of this deal? We spent two years developing a player (yes even if he was shit most of the time he still gained experience) who was never ours.

Would it not have been better to develop one of our own players? are we seriously suggesting we couldn't have signed a youngster who would have performed as well and would still have a few years left on his Arsenal contract?

Loaning top quality proven players is one thing, loaning trainees is very different, if you don't see how this needs explaining you simply don't get it. We've wasted millions and two years on nothing, no way was Ceballos was ever winning us anything and so it proved ... same will happen with Odegaard it's just more money wasted.

Agree - we should NEVER be loaning youngsters from other clubs without a clear and agreed option to buy.
Ceballos was a Real Madrid player gaining experience at Arsenal, for the benefit of Real Madrid, at our expense. That's it. Same as Odegaard.

At least we've sent him back now. I am happy about that.
