that data geek bellend vinai has a business and trading background doesn't he. rule number 1 in business: risk management.

Spurs' results look good right now compared to the relegation form they had under Poch, but how long do you think that is going to last? Jose loves spending money and Levy hates it. It's a match made in hell. Mourinho has claimed to have changed both at Chelsea and at Utd, yet got sacked for the same reason both times.

I'm not even sure he will be able to get them any kind of trophy before the back-biting and blaming the board and players starts.

If Sanllehi gets the next appointment wrong, he will be the first one to go.

That gives me hope that he will go for the best candidate available.

Almost.

The club’s head of football Raul Sanllehi has already warned Arteta there will be limited funds to spend in January and Gabriel would be a significantly cheaper option than Koulibaly.

He said: “Last summer we did an incredible effort where we were very grateful to the support we got from our ownership.

“We went really one step further and made a real investment that increased our expectations for the season.

“The winter window is much more for tactical. We are going to get our conversations now between Mikel and Edu to see what things we can do.

“Again, the strategic window and the one Edu and his team are really working on is for the long-term and that’s the summer window.”

tbf can't really argue with saving the proper planning and bigger signings to the summer. January is usually full of shit and don't mind loan deals as patches to get us where we need to be this season.

Obviously if we could get a target we want now instead of in the summer then by all means go an get him.

Agreed ,^. I hope we can get at least one signing in cb/cm or full back but no point if it's not something that actually makes us better.

Spend like mad in winter in the hope of getting close to top four by end of season. If we end the season 10th or below we’ll struggle to get our targets in summer.

So United tying up Fernandes and Koulibaly but Raul still sitting on his hands?

Yeah I'm sure if we could spend like united we would be locking people up too. They literally spending now and cashing in on pogba in summer. Raul is better than what we had before which was shit.

Would we though, we've never done this before, plsu everytime we do spend we seem to waste it. We could have bought Koulibaly last summer.

Yes true, Gazidis was a waste of time, but Sanehli hasn't covered himself in glory either.

Raul can't spend what Kroenke won't give him.

Its not rocket science.

Stan is still probably burning over Pepe's £70m

Facts are a minor inconvenience for good trolling.

I mean since when did we ever spend as much as Utd? they have more money than us and a different owner for starters.
