Whether Spurs win any trophies or they don't as usual, scoring 3 past the defending champions and beating them 4-2 on aggregate is something we could never do. Not in this decade.

Well done Spurs!

Look how far they have come and that result is a huge landmark.

Trippier was offside for the first goal, but the rest were legitimate. Real looked extremely lazy, and their defense was an absolute joke. They were completely off and Spurs took full advantage.

The CL, in general, isn't like it was between 2003 - 2011. That timeframe was the golden era of CL. Since then, the CL has stagnated and that's largely due to UEFA.

Man City to save the CL. Oh yeah.

LoL - Except that TV viewer numbers have increased by 40% worldwide since then, the only decrease being in Europe and that looks like rebounding massively this year ....

TV rights for the CL are now several billion, this years winners will pick up prize money of +80m .... and the sponsorship value could be 5 times that to a Utd, City or PSG ....

Just because we're not in it doesn't mean it's no longer a money spinning machine ....

Consider last night 58,000 tickets sold (and only 70% bothered going) the night before down the road 85,000 tickets sold and 99% turned up .... hmmmmmmm wonder why .......
