Henry can see shades of Invincibles in this Celtic side. :smart:

Except they are Scottish and in a one team league, so really there is nothing about the Invincibles to see in celtic.

Invincibles in the CL.

So they'll bottle it, then?

No, they'll win it.

Rodgers has got them playing seriously well, even if there's nothing special about winning the SPL. He's improved the team massively since taking over from Deila.

Looks like (first time ever?) five EPL teams in the Group Stages ... and we're not one of them ... if we can't win the EPL when ALL our main rivals have a dozen mid-week CL games, then we never will .......

5 teams can not play in the semi final
Hopefully we will be playing 15 Europa league midweek games as well
It will be the 1st time 5 English teams have been in the group stages of the European cup/ champions league( providing Liverpool beat hoffenhiem)
In 05/06 Liverpool were granted permission by uefa to enter the champions league as holders despite finishing 5 th as long as they began in the 1st qualifying round.
This would have meant 5 teams
However Everton ( who had finished 4 th the previous season) entered at the 3rd qualifying round stage were beaten by villareal ( who went on to reach the semi final to be beaten by us

That changes from next year where the top 4 from the top 3 leagues automatically get in the GS.

While we get Rijeka, Hapoel Beer, Nice and Greedebayor's team in the EL.
