2017/18 UEFA Europa League

Postby Royal Gooner » Sun Jun 04, 2017 6:57 pm

Suffering football withdrawals, don't worry the draw for the first round of the EL is only a couple of weeks away. The start of a journey that will lead us all to Lyon to see Arsenal lift the EL trophy for the first time since 1970.

In the first round, the British interests are: (The mighty) Rangers, St Johnstone, Crusaders, Coleraine, Ballymena United, Bala Town, Connagh's Quay, Bangor City, (slayers of Celtic) Lincoln Red Imps and St Joseph's.

Serie A - Atalanta, Lazio and AC Milan
La Liga - Villarreal, Real Sociedad and Bilbao
Ligue One - Marseille, Lyon and Bordeaux
Bundesliga - Koln, Hertha and Freiburg

First 2 teams in each of those are straight in to the groups.

Of course some will drop from the CL after the play offs and the groups

But nothing I see should stop us winning this

Prolly need to deal with spurs too after their inevitable fall from cl groups.

None of those teams should be a problem for us. If Wenger can't even win this trophy then the man has truly been left behind

Draw tomorrow.

I will love it if Rangers draw Cork, Shamrock Rovers or Londonderry City. That will make it entertaining.

3rd qualifying round. They have to go through 2 qualifiers just to get to the group stage. Potentially we could be the only English team in the group stage, which will be even better when we win it!
