Probably does go training, and probably does get injured there most of the time

Ridiculous even trying this when his body's so badly damaged, surely he should get that it's not going to happen.

I'm amazed he got a contract even though I think it's largely pay-for-play. I think he ought to give it up, he doesn't want to be crippled at 40.
And here's to you Mathieu Flamini

People said similar things about Rosicky a few years back to be fair.

Very sad to hear this news. Will it ever work out for Diaby?

Yeah, but Rosicky has more talent in his pinky finger than Diaby has in his entire body. In terms of technique, he's the best we have after Ozil and Cazorla.

Let's also not forget that Diaby is a perennial cripple. Rosicky was just unlucky with injuries. Gives me hope on Wilshere at least. Maybe he can pull off a Rozza and not a Diaby?

Diaby > Rosicky, different players with different attributes but I always preferred what Diaby could have given over what Rosicky could have given.

He was crippled by someone who had no business being on a pitch.

What does pulling a Rosicky mean? Rosicky averaged 27 apps which includes subs in his 9 years here so far where as Diaby averaged 18. Either is terrible.

Hope it's short term, he deserves an extended run of game time.

Random Diaby in background.

I don't know which is better, but I don't think there can be much doubt that Diaby is very talented.

Santi Cazorla reportedly told Julien Laurens that Diaby was the best player he'd ever seen in training, and Serge Gnabry also mentioned him as the best. He's one of Paul Pogba's idols and Laurent Blanc once said that when fit he was the first name of the French national team sheet.
‘Sometimes I watch Match of the Day to see how we’ve been perceived. It’s better to watch it with the sound turned down.’

key word in training... now im not saying that he couldnt of been a finished product but he hasnt accomplished anything

not like he was the worlds best player than suddenly suffered chronic injuries that ruined his career...

If Diaby would have kicked Terry in the chops again, I would have definitely laughed like Hazard

It's the, "What could have been," debate, so let's leave it there.

Unlike Diaby, and with the exception of Liverpool at Anfield, Rosicky has actually shined for us, even if it's in patches.

CHRONICALLY injured midfielder Abou Diaby has suffered a setback in his attempts to return to competitive football.

The 29-year-old's career was massively disrupted by several injuries during his time at Arsenal. And he left north London in the summer at the end of his contract after just one appearance last season.

Ligue 1 side Marseille signed the midfielder and he was reportedly on the verge of making his first competitive start in 17 months. But his manager Michel revealed today that Diaby would not be fit enough to play against Lorient this weekend.

The Spanish coach said: "Diaby is good physically but he does not feel good each time he trains with the squad.

"There is no date for his return. The important thing is his health."

It's not even funny anymore and he could seriously be damaging his body if he doesn't feel okay even training.

As sad as it will be for him he should just retire before he does himself serious harm and go into coaching or something

Sounds like it could be a mental issue as well.
